Map markers and events

Both live on the map page: Map → Markers and Map → Events, in the web panel and in the in-game menu.

A marker is an icon on the in-game pause map and minimap: a shop, a garage, the hospital, a meeting spot.

SettingWhat it does
NameThe label players see on the map.
CategoryMarkers with the same category are grouped under one heading in the map legend.
IconAny of GTA’s blip icons (see Icon picker below).
ColourOne of the game’s 86 blip colours; hover a swatch to see its number.
Size, opacityHow big (0.4–1.5) and how see-through (20–100%) the icon is.
Show onBoth, the Pause map only or the Minimap only.
Show only when nearbyOn the minimap the icon appears only when the player gets close; the pause map always shows it.
FlashThe icon blinks in game, for places that need attention.
Visible toEveryone, Job (characters in one of the jobs you pick) or Staff (panel members).
OnAn off marker is hidden from everyone but kept.

The list is the whole Blips page on docs.fivem.net: 883 icons and 86 colours. Search by name or number and filter by group such as Places, Vehicles or Weapons. Your recent picks and the icons this server’s markers already use sit on top; Suggested holds the most common ones.

The preview matches the game: white icons take the colour you pick, multi-colour icons keep their own colours. The pause map and minimap sit side by side, and size, opacity, flashing and a hidden map update right away. Icons the source page has no image for show their number; they still work in game.

The game server checks the icon and colour against the list; a number that isn’t on it falls back to the default (dot, orange).

Pick the location by clicking the map, typing X/Y/Z, or using a player’s position (in game also Where I am). Changes reach players right away. A job marker appears or disappears as soon as a character’s job changes.

The server decides who sees what: a player’s game only receives the markers that player may see. The resource keeps a copy in map-markers.json, so markers still show while Fiveops is unreachable.

Create an event with a title, description, start and end, a location, and two options:

  • Players can teleport to the event: while it runs, players can teleport to it from the list.
  • Announcement card when it starts: an event card pops up on everyone’s screen when it starts.

An event lasts 5 minutes to 72 hours and can be set up to 30 days ahead. At most 20 upcoming or running events can exist at a time. When the end time passes, or staff press End now, the list and teleport close in game. Ended events stay visible in the panel for 30 days, then they are deleted.

Players type /etkinlikler (Turkish server) or /events (English server); the command follows the server language, and the owner can give it another name under Configuration → General. The window lists upcoming and running events with:

  • Set route: marks the event on the GPS.
  • Teleport: only for a running event with teleport on.
  • Return: shown after teleporting; takes the player back to the exact spot they left.

Players can’t create events.

The server checks every request; the player’s game only sends which event. The destination is always the event’s location and the return spot is the one the server saved before the teleport, so a modified client can’t do more than the button does.

RuleValue
TeleportRunning event with teleport on; player is in a character, not in a vehicle and not downed.
Already thereNo teleport within 40 m of the event.
Waiting time15 seconds between teleports and returns, at most 6 in 10 minutes per player.
ReturnOnly after teleporting from the list, and only within 300 m of the event. Leaving the area closes it.
After the eventReturn stays open for 30 minutes after the event ends or is deleted.

Each teleport and return is written to the Fiveops log (Player). Creating, editing, starting, ending and deleting events are logged under Announcements; marker changes under Settings.
