Set up the Game bot

The Game bot is required: Discord logs, player avatars, Discord roles and staff sync run through it. Until it is set up the console prints GAME BOT REQUIRED. Staff also run the game from Discord with its commands: Run the game from Discord.

1. In the Discord Developer Portal create an application (or pick one).

2. On the Bot tab turn on Server Members Intent, then press Reset Token and copy the token.

3. In the panel open Bot configuration → Game bot, paste the token and press Verify.

4. Add the bot to your Discord server with Add to server and pick the server.

5. Under Logs choose the log channels. The bot needs View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links there.

When everything in the Status section is green, the console prints game bot ready (…). Any other message: Game bot messages.
