Data wipe
When you move to a new server or wipe your current one, you choose what gets deleted and what stays. The section is in the panel under Configuration → Data wipe, and only the server owner sees it; admins can’t open it either.
What can be deleted
Section titled “What can be deleted”Fiveops data (records in the panel): player records (notes, warnings, punishments and bans, screenshots), logs, statistics, economy data, session recordings, death records, support tickets, Discord tickets, moderation records, Guard records and backups, and in-game giveaway/announcement/event history.
Game database (your server’s own database, by framework):
| Category | What happens |
|---|---|
| Characters | Characters and every row tied to them are deleted (personal bank account, outfits, phone, stashes…). |
| Money and bank | Players’ money goes back to the starting amount; bank accounts and job funds are reset. |
| Vehicles | Every player-owned vehicle is deleted. |
| Inventories | ox_inventory stashes, trunks and gloveboxes, and player inventories are emptied. |
| Properties | House and apartment ownership and keys are removed; the properties themselves stay. |
| Jobs and gangs | Everyone becomes unemployed with no gang. |
| Fiveops backups | The 30-day backups of deleted characters and properties are deleted. |
Picking characters also picks vehicles and properties (so no rows are left without an owner). Fiveops finds each category’s tables from your framework and housing script and checks they exist on your server; missing tables are skipped and the page says so. vRP keeps jobs in the framework’s own records, so they can’t be cleared from here.
Always kept: licence, payments and subscription; your account and server connection; team, staff groups and permissions; server and bot settings; bot setups, ticket systems, stashes and map markers.
How to run a wipe
Section titled “How to run a wipe”-
In the panel, open Configuration → Data wipe.
-
Pick the categories to delete. Each one shows how many rows (and files) will go.
-
If you picked anything from the game database, write the message players will see.
-
Press Continue, read the list in the final check, type the server name and press Delete permanently.
-
The job runs in the background and its status shows on the same page. When it finishes, the result is written to the Fiveops log and you get a notification.
The game database can only be wiped while the server is up. While it’s offline you can only pick Fiveops data.
What happens on the game server
Section titled “What happens on the game server”- Joining is closed, everyone in game is kicked with your message, and Fiveops waits until the framework has saved.
- Everything you picked is deleted in one database transaction. If a single step fails, nothing is deleted and Fiveops data isn’t touched either.
- Some scripts keep old data in memory, so nobody can join until the server restarts. Restart the server after the wipe. (If you only deleted Fiveops backups, joining stays open.)
Only one wipe runs at a time, and at most three can be started in an hour. The job itself (who, when, which categories, how many rows) is written to the Fiveops log after the deletion, even when logs were wiped.
When you move servers
Section titled “When you move servers”After you reset the IP lock, if you don’t want the old data on the new server, choose what to delete on the same page. Wiping the game database needs the new server to be up and connected.
